If You’re Starting a Concrete Lifting Business—Here’s How to Get High-Quality Leads Without Paying for Ads
You’ve already spent $80,000–$200,000 on your rig, trailer, foam, training, and tools.
You’ve put in months of prep, research, and investment—probably more than you want to admit.
You’ve sweated over the details, lost sleep over what-ifs, and now it’s go time.
You’re ready to start the next chapter of your life—
To live on your terms.
To build something real for your family.
To create freedom, income, and ownership—on your own back.
And then it hits you…
“Where are the jobs going to come from? I need leads—and fast.”
Let me tell you something:
You’re not alone. I’ve been there. When I left my corporate marketing job, my wife was still teaching, and my daughter was just six months old. I was scared. My parents thought I was crazy. My wife acted like she wasn’t scared, bless her heart for her support. And I was excited. And I knew—I couldn’t keep sitting in a cubicle working for a trust fund kid who didn’t care about the people we served.
That wasn’t good for me, my health, or my family.
So I walked away.
And I built something from scratch—just like you’re doing now.
Today, through LevelRight Marketing, we’ve helped concrete lifters go from a single truck to running multiple crews. We work with some of the biggest concrete lifting companies in the country… and we still get the most excited when we’re helping the new guys—the hungry entrepreneurs who are both fired up and freaking out. Because I know that feeling. And I love helping people turn that fear into freedom.
So if you’re looking for a way to get leads without dumping money into ads or chasing junk leads from Angi, here’s a smarter way to get started—and build real momentum right now.
Step 1: Pick the Right Neighborhoods
- Homes built 25+ years ago
- Visible settling, cracks, or water drainage issues
- Sidewalks or driveways with trip hazards
- Well-kept homes in middle/upper income areas
Stick to areas where people have pride of ownership and money to spend. These are your ‘A neighborhoods’ & blocks. These are your top prospects. Map out where those areas are – starting with those closest to you. And once you hit all the ‘A’s’, move onto the B neighborhoods, etc.
Step 2: Show Up With Confidence (and a Clipboard)
Write a few fake names, addresses, phone #s, & problem areas at the top of your clipboard sheet—it creates social proof.
Bring business cards or door hangers. Look sharp.
Smile. Knock, Eye-Contact, and be Confident.
Step 3: The Pitch
“Hey, I’m with [Your Company Name], and we help homeowners fix sinking concrete, trip hazards, and drainage issues. We just did a job down the street where the front walkway had dropped—we leveled it out in a couple of hours and saved the homeowner thousands compared to replacing it. I noticed your front slab’s dropped a bit too—want me to give you a quick estimate?”
Step 4: Multiply the Effort With Clean-Cut Help
Hire 1–2 local college or high school students who are confident and clean-cut. Train them, give them a clipboard, and pay $10–$15 per qualified lead. Some will pull 5–6+ an hour. That’s $75/hour for them—and a goldmine for you. Obviously they won’t bid the jobs, but have them collect the details, and you can bid it later.
If they’ve got transportation, have them meet you in the neighborhood. If not, drive them out and walk with them for a bit. Buy lunch. Keep morale high. Happy canvassers = strong lead flow. Your ROI on these leads is crazy, so take care of your people and they’ll take care of you!
Quick Note on Door-to-Door Rules
Some municipalities require a permit. Check local laws. That said—if you’re respectful and offer value, most people won’t mind. If someone’s upset, smile and move on. And it’s easier to ask for forgiveness than permission 😉
Why This Works
- Zero ad spend
- Face-to-face trust
- Clustered job quoting
- No competition bidding wars
- Build your pipeline before lift season starts
Final Thoughts
This strategy isn’t theory—it’s real. I made a killing doing this with my first real business in college when I was just 20 years old, running a College Pro Painting franchise. It’s worked for painters. It works for roofers. And it works extremely well for concrete lifters.
We’ve helped dozens of companies use this approach to quote full neighborhoods, pack their schedules, and start getting known fast—before the season even begins.
And here’s what makes it even better: it’s not just about getting leads. It’s about learning how to sell, how to pitch, how to build confidence and show value—all things that carry over as your business grows. So this is not just a great way to drive leads, but also build yourself & your business.
At LevelRight Marketing, we don’t just build websites or run SEO—we help concrete lifters succeed.
We’ve helped brand-new owners make their first sale… and helped multi-crew teams expand into new markets.
But the ones we love working with most?
The ones who are just getting started. The ones who have everything on the line.
Because we’ve been there. And we know exactly what it takes to win.
