Everyone Wants to Win—But Are You Willing to Learn?

You want to build a successful concrete lifting business?
You want more leads, more jobs, more profit, more freedom?

Start here: Always be learning.

This is the one habit I’ve seen separate guys who win from guys who burn out.

Whether it’s learning how to lift better, market smarter, sell with confidence, or be a better husband and dad—it all adds up.

I don’t care if you’ve been in business for 10 days or 10 years. The ones who keep learning are the ones who keep growing.

You are your business. And if you stop growing, so does everything around you.

Business Doesn’t Happen in a Silo

Let me say something that not enough people in this industry talk about:

Your business is only as healthy as you are.

  • If your mindset sucks, your business will suffer.
  • If your health is shot, your energy’s down, your leadership’s down.
  • If your marriage is falling apart, good luck focusing on growth.
  • If you’re not staying curious, you’re not innovating—and if you’re not innovating, you’re getting left behind.

The best investment you can make isn’t in a rig or an ad campaign.
It’s in you.

Learning for Concrete LiftersYouTube Over TV. Books Over Boredom.

Here’s what I do:

When I work out, I watch YouTube videos on marketing, business strategy, entrepreneurship, even parenting, and how to make my wife & family happier and more successful.

Not Netflix. Not reality TV. Not highlight reels.

Winners study winners.

I want to be better. Not just at SEO or content or concrete lifting—but better across the board.

Because the more I grow, the more I can give my clients. The better I show up for my family. The clearer I think. The stronger I lead.

And honestly?

Sometimes it’s not even about the new information.
Sometimes it’s about getting inspired again. Getting back in motion. Getting unstuck.

Why I Attended Concrete Lifting Training—Even After 10+ Years in the Industry

Recently, I attended a concrete lifting training event—even though I’ve been in this industry for over a decade.

People asked me why I was going. Here’s why:

  • To learn something new (because there’s always more to learn)
  • To get motivated by the energy of others
  • To spark new ideas and inspiration
  • To stay sharp
  • To show up better for my clients
  • To be a student again

Even if I knew 90% of what was covered, that 10% could be the edge that helps someone I work with close more jobs or grow faster.

Learning isn’t about what you already know—it’s about who you’re becoming.

The Best in the Game Stay Humble, Stay Curious

The top lifters I know? They’re not coasting.

  • They’re testing new foam.
  • They’re experimenting with deep soil stabilization.
  • They’re leveling up their branding.
  • They’re tweaking their sales process.
  • They’re investing in their team.
  • They’re reading. Watching. Asking questions.
  • They’re hungry.

And on the flip side?

The guys who stay stuck, complain about slow seasons, and never change anything—those are the ones that disappear after a year or two.

This Is Bigger Than Business

At the end of the day, this isn’t just about concrete.
It’s not just about Google rankings or lifting technique or ROI.

It’s about building a life that feels good to live.
Where you show up strong.
Where your business supports your family, not drains it.
Where you feel proud of what you’re building—and who you are while building it.

And that starts with learning.
Always. Be. Learning.

Final Thoughts

If you’re serious about growing a great business, take the pressure off trying to “have it all figured out.”

Just commit to learning something today.

Watch a great video. Listen to a smart podcast. Read something useful. Ask someone smarter a question.

Then do it again tomorrow.

If you do that long enough, the business, the life, the freedom you want—it shows up.

Because success doesn’t come from knowing everything.
It comes from being willing to grow.

At LevelRight Marketing, we help concrete lifters build real, sustainable businesses—from websites to leads to long-term growth. But before we do any of that, we invest in ourselves—because we know that’s where it all starts.
